Psalm
Paste or type a psalm, pointed or plain, and chant it through: the words marked with the note each is sung on, one half-verse at a time.
An * divides each verse into its halves. Put [[double brackets]] round the words sung on the cadence; the words before them are recited. A † after a bracketed word marks a flex. A number at the start of a line begins a verse. Plain text is fine too — you can point it by tapping, once it is in.
Psalm ·
Set a psalm tone below and each cadence here is marked with its note.
This psalm marks a flex (†). Add a flex to the psalm tone below to hear the voice drop there; until then those words are recited.
Some half-verses have no cadence marked yet, and are recited all the way through. Tap Point to mark them.
Tap the word where each cadence begins; tap it again to take the cadence away. Tap a * at the end of a line to move the half-verse there, or a † to put a flex there — a brief drop partway through a long half-verse. Tapping marks one cadence per half, as Simplified Anglican Chant does — for longer cadences, mark each part with Edit.
